How do I add social media links to my Squarespace site?

Guide to adding social media icons, links, and embedded feeds to your Squarespace website for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms.

Squarespace has built-in social media integration. Go to Settings, then Social Links, and add your social media profile URLs for each platform — Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and others. Once added, social media icons automatically appear in your website footer and anywhere you add a Social Links block. The icons use clean, professional designs that match your template's style.

For embedding social media feeds directly on your page, Squarespace supports Instagram feeds natively through the Instagram block. Connect your Instagram account in the Social section of your settings, then add an Instagram block to any page to display your recent posts in a grid. This keeps your website fresh with new visual content without manual updates. For other platforms, you can embed feeds using third-party widgets through Code blocks.

A word of caution: do not let social media dominate your website. Your website's primary job is to convert visitors into customers, and sending them to your social media profiles before they take action works against that goal. Place social media icons in the footer rather than the header, and do not embed large social media feeds on your homepage or service pages. Social media should complement your website, not compete with it for attention.
