How do I add Google Maps to my Squarespace site?

Simple guide to embedding a Google Map on your Squarespace website to show your business location, service area, or multiple locations.

Squarespace has a built-in Map block that makes adding Google Maps simple. Edit the page where you want the map, click an insert point, and add a Map block. Enter your business address, and Squarespace will automatically generate an embedded Google Map with a pin on your location. You can adjust the zoom level, enable or disable scrolling, and choose a map style that matches your website's design.

For service area businesses that do not have a physical location customers visit, consider using the map to display your service area boundaries rather than a single pin. You can add a description block next to the map listing the cities, neighborhoods, or zip codes you serve. This combination helps visitors quickly determine if you work in their area while also providing the text-based location content that helps with local SEO.

Place your map on your contact page and consider adding a smaller version in your site footer. Having your location visible on every page reinforces your local presence and makes it easy for visitors to get directions regardless of which page they are on. If you have multiple locations, you can add multiple Map blocks or create a dedicated locations page with a map and details for each one.
