Does Squarespace include an SSL certificate?

HTTPS secures the connection between a visitor and the website. Check the SSL setting and the actual custom-domain page after connecting your domain.

Test important pages and embedded resources for connection warnings. Do not bypass a browser security warning. A working HTTPS connection does not establish that a form or integration handles sensitive information appropriately.
