Can I sell products on Squarespace?

Everything you need to know about selling physical and digital products on Squarespace — features, transaction fees, and plan requirements.

Yes, Squarespace has robust e-commerce features built directly into the platform. You can sell physical products, digital downloads, services, gift cards, and subscriptions. The product management interface lets you add product images, descriptions, variants (size, color, material), pricing, inventory tracking, and SKUs. Checkout supports Stripe and PayPal, and you can offer discount codes, shipping rules by weight or location, and tax calculations.

To sell products without transaction fees, you need at least the Basic Commerce plan at $36 per month. The Business plan at $33 per month allows e-commerce but charges a 3 percent transaction fee on top of payment processor fees. The Advanced Commerce plan at $65 per month adds abandoned cart recovery emails, subscription products, and advanced shipping options. For most small stores, the Basic Commerce plan provides everything you need.

Squarespace e-commerce works best for businesses selling a curated selection of products — typically under 500 SKUs. If you are running a large-scale operation with thousands of products, complex inventory management, or multi-warehouse fulfillment, Shopify is a better fit. But for small businesses, makers, and service providers adding a shop to their existing website, Squarespace e-commerce is excellent and avoids the need for a separate platform.
