Choose a Squarespace design for a contractor or remodeler
Compare project proof, estimate requests, ongoing editing, and real delivery.

The homepage has a specific job
Within the first screen, show what you build or remodel, where you work, and how to start a conversation. Choose a project image that represents work you can actually perform. A beautiful kitchen photograph cannot establish that your company completed the project. Label stock samples while you prepare your own portfolio.
Show projects as evidence
A useful project entry explains the type of work, the constraint, and the finished result. Include location only at an appropriate level and with permission. Use before-and-after images when they help explain the work. Do not copy a demonstration company’s awards, reviews, team, or years in business.
Make an estimate request actionable
Ask for the project type, property area, preferred timing, and contact information. Explain whether the next step is a phone conversation or site visit. A request should reach a named person in your business. Test notification delivery and spam handling before relying on it.
Keep services and frequently asked questions editable
Separate kitchens, bathrooms, and larger remodeling work if those reflect your business. Answer actual questions about estimates, preparation, access to the property, and scheduling. Native text and accordion blocks allow the owner to update those details. A screenshot alone does not prove the editing experience.
Compare the complete deliverable
Check the exact page list, mobile layout, form behavior, editing method, delivery mechanism, and ongoing costs. A two-page starter can suit a focused business. A company with a large portfolio or several divisions may need dedicated project and service pages. Choose the scope you can maintain, not the longest feature list.
Understand the version before paying
A new Squarespace 7.1 site is delivered separately from an existing website. Squarespace’s 7.0 Developer Platform is a different method that requires source editing and a compatible plan. The sales page should identify which you receive. Budget separately for your website subscription, domain, paid integrations, and any content or launch work.
Run a realistic acceptance check
Preview on desktop and a narrow phone width. Use keyboard navigation to reach the estimate button, read the form labels, and open the FAQ. Edit a heading and image in the actual editor. Confirm the delivered copy can be edited without changing the original master. Record delivery acceptance after you can access the site.
Before you choose a design
Open the product page to check its exact scope, version, delivery status, and setup requirements. Previews use sample content. Replace business claims, images, reviews, and contact details with approved content before launch.
